If the only thing to come as a result of BLC is the ability for an airline to maintain it's flight schedule, I'd be ok with that. It's 3:56am and I'm catching a shuttle to Logan...
I should have been home yesterday
I should

Hope you all made it home safe and sound..or tucked-in for the night.
Thanks for all of your involvement, thoughts, and energy.
It's good to start raising questions - like Amy's about Twitter; about the critical need for wireless schools; how do we get kids up-n-moving (Othamian). Ask your peers, principals, ask the kids. How many of them like school? Like learning? Are connected to the global community?

It's going to be a good year.
Rest-up.

Hi Everyone,
The 6:20 flight has been cancelled due to mechanical problems.
We are working with the travel agent to make other arrangements.
We should have vouchers for hotel and food.
We are camped-out in the Lobby and will touch base at least every hour.

The National Archives presentation was extremely valuable. She is just now starting to talk about something new called Docs Teach that sounds very promising...

Great Quotes from Rahaf Faroush: " We are shoving kids into a box. If you are a kid that does better when you move, then move."

Phrase from keynote

"...this (technology) enabled us to be where our voters were"

Connect that to education- We need to use our tools to go where our students are. (physically and mentally)

Why More Schools Aren’t Teaching Web Literacy—and How They Can Start

Fourteen years after writing Teaching Zack to Think, there is still no Internet skill more critical than Web literacy. However, simply teaching students to be able to search for and validate information is not enough. The ever-growing amount of information on the Web and the immediate access to experts and peers from around the world [...]

Flipped Learning: A Response to Five Common Criticisms

Alan November and Brian Mull have recently written an article titled Flipped Learning: A Response to Five Common Criticisms which now appears on the  eSchool News site. Within the article, they explain how to deepen student learning using the Flipped Learning method, and they also address criticisms this method has received. You are invited to read [...]

BLC is an incubator of great ideas

Last spring, at the end of a full day of keynotes and presentations at BLC 11, @ewanmcintosh @dkuropatwa, a few others and I hit Beantown for refreshments and a kick at the day’s notes. The idea of problem-finding, of asking question to which no one knows the answers, emerged as a new model for pedagogy. [...]
